Symposium

red wine igt costa toscana

Conviviality

Symposium is a name that comes from far away, rooted in ancient Greece and ancient Rome. The symposium was a convivial practice that followed the banquet, during which guests engaged in various forms of entertainment, sang songs and, of course, drank wine. The role of leading the symposium was entrusted to the symposiarch, one of the earliest figures specialised in the art of knowing, proposing and serving wine, and therefore considered a distant precursor of the modern sommelier. Today, as in the past, Symposium embodies and expresses those values that ennoble humankind: conversation, music, poetry, pleasure, dance and wine itself.
